MPP RAISES WESPORT FISHING CONCERNS IN THE LEGISLATURE

(Queen’s Park) – Opposition House Leader, and Leeds-Grenville MPP Bob Runciman, participated in yesterday’s Opposition Day legislative debate on the Caledonia native occupation.

A motion calling on the government to establish an inquiry into the government’s handling of the Caledonia standoff passed in a voice vote but, following the vote, the province's Attorney General, Michael Bryant, indicated that the motion was not binding, and that the McGuinty government would ignore it.

Runciman's comments, and the Opposition Day Motion can be found here.
