RUNCIMAN CALLS FOR MINISTER TO ADDRESS PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUES AT NORTH GRENVILLE DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL

(Queen’s Park) – Leeds Grenville MPP Bob Runciman presented a statement in the Legislature today calling upon the Minister of Education to address the public safety issues at North Grenville District High School.

In his statement, Runciman reiterated the concerns of Kemptville Fire Chief Tim Bond regarding the obvious public safety issues the Chief outlined in a submission to the Upper Canada District School Board in March of this year.

“He states that the students and staff should not ‘have to deal in a high-risk environment such as this on a daily basis.’ ”

Runciman concluded by calling on the Minister of Education to expedite the school’s identification as a priority for replacement.
