GRANT HELPS FACILITY MEET NEW WATER STANDARDS
OXFORD MILLS _ The Old Mill Guest Home has
been awarded a grant of $11,103 by the Ministry
of Health and Long Term Care to assist with
the costs of an engineering report and remedial
work needed to bring its water treatment equipment
up to standard.
The grant program is designed to help rural
facilities comply with the regulations contained
in the Drinking Water Protection Regulation
for Smaller Waterworks Serving Designated Facilities
( Reg. 505/01) of the Ontario Water Resources
Act.
Assistance is available to facilities required
to meet the new standards that were established
to protect vulnerable citizens in rural areas.
